Our Story
Since 2016, OneTeamMVMT has been creating opportunities for girls and boys via the female-driven team sport of synchronized skating. We unite and empower the synchronized skating community, in order to grow the sport worldwide. What does this mean exactly? It means we create a safe place for people to come together and ask for help, or share their expertise, or brainstorm what we as a community, can do to assist in the Olympic Goal for synchronized skating. Through grassroots initiatives such as development camps, community activities, and virtual mentorship, we promote sportsmanship and encourage collaboration so we can elevate the sport as ONE TEAM. We are stronger together, and this is what #OneTeamMVMT is all about.

FAQ'S
Who runs OneTeamMVMT?
OneTeamMVMT was founded in 2016 by a dedicated group of retired synchronized skaters and parents. Collectively, they shared such a passion for the sport, that they wanted to find a way to give back to the sport for the sake of present skaters and future generations.
OneTeamMVMT is currently overseen by a an elected board of volunteers, and managed by an international team of over 30 individuals. Our worker bees include current and former synchro skaters, coaches, parents, and professionals who share their expertise in order to elevate synchronized skating, worldwide.
Where is OTM based?
We are a global organization but our roots began in Mississauga Ontario (Canada) in July 2016. We were granted Federal not-for-profit status in November of 2016.
Why OTM?
Synchronized skating is a unique blend of artistry, athleticism and team sport — something that is very rare in the sporting world. While we know this fact within the synchro community, we felt it was time to advocate for the sport's growth, and help more people to discover its beauty and power. Enter OTM, where building and popularizing the sport is our primary goal. We want more girls and youth to have an opportunity to engage in this dynamic sport and participate in healthy active living for life.
How do I become part of OTM?
- Purchase a t-shirt for you and or your team. Wear it proudly, and be prepared with an answer, for when you get asked "What is OneTeam Movement" **cue the synchro-education moment!**
- Participate in our world-class synchro development camps, for skaters and coaches
- Become an Event Ambassador; contact us to learn how you can bring OneTeamMVMT to your next local competition!
- Volunteer with us! We are always looking for people who can help us further our mission to grow synchronized skating. We have been fortunate to welcome volunteers from various countries (Canada, USA, Australia, Austria, United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, etc), and with various backgrounds (web design, graphic design, marketing, sales, law, accounting, coding, writing, event planning, etc).
